TYTRIEUS LOCKJAW
APPEARANCE
Its skin is the texture of liquorice smooth and soft but very tough, the skin colour can vary but the most common is iridescent blues, purples and black, much the same as the plumage of a raven. It is large and bulky, has no front limbs and two tails. Like its cousins, it retains the neck shield. Large fibrous veins protrude from its skin acting like a sort of hydraulic system, contracting, and elongating the muscles as needed, this is a very efficient way to operate. This species of Lockjaw can have either red or yellow eyes.
BEHAVIOUR
Tytrieus Lockjaws have intelligence similar to that of a domestic dog, so they are neither bright nor stupid. They can be tamed but they must be hand raised from a young age, even then, they have a tendency to turn on their owner. They are extremely vicious during breeding.
The main weapon of the Tytrieus is not its mouth, rather it is its tails and hind legs and it can use its tails as a prop on which to strike with the hind legs at potential enemies/rivals. The Tytrieus is a constrictor and will not eat carrion preferring its food alive. Like a constrictor, it will bind its prey in its large tails before eating, or if it can get close enough, stun it with the poisons it injects with its tongue. To eat its prey it simply stretches its elastic jaw and swallows it whole.
The Tytrieus Female is winged, while the male is not. Males are much smaller than the females as the females are more vicious so males may need to escape quickly after mating.
*nods nods* Yes, awesome job on this, the detail is splended, the coloring is amazing and all around good job M'friend
